Are Holiday Review Sites Worth it?
Recently I have been looking at booking my summer holidays earlier than usual due to the economic downturn. By booking early you are more likely to get a better deal going for yourself.
More and more people are also booking holidays online, they get better options and a big discount. As online bookings expanded review sites came up which basically allowed users to leave they thoughts on where they have stayed. So can you seriously take these types of sites too seriously?
The reason for saying this is because every hotel I typed in had a negative review, whether or not it had hundreds of positives there was also double in negatives. That made me start thinking about why every hotel would have a negative review and I ultimately came to some conclusions:
1) You are more likely to go online and express your opinion if you have had a bad time rather than a good one.
2) There are a lot of negative reviews especially when people visit cultures that they are not used to.
3) Most of the worries are about food and alcohol, obviously the edibles will be a lot different in another country and if you are going all inclusive then theymost likely will water down the drinks slightly as they need to make some cash.
So to sum up I have come to the conclusion that some people are just not to easy to please. If you are booking an all inclusive holidays then expect things to be slightly lower quality and repetitive food. People go on holiday to unwind they dont want to hear about peoples mishaps before it has started.
